Senior Account Executive/ Junior Account Manager
Platform PR is looking for an aspiring PR Account Manager with a passion for technology and the media. We are looking for someone to join our growing team, located in London’s Marylebone, to assist with the delivery of our client accounts in the broadcast, media and telecommunications industries.
Ideally you will have at least 2 years previous experience working in-house or agency-side in these industries, and a relevant degree [PR, marketing, journalism, etc.] A demonstrable passion for the markets we work in and awareness of the major issues affecting companies in them will also be a pre-requisite.
You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbally, possess a proactive nature, positive attitude, good presentation skills, be organised, and competent with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Skills
- Working with the Account Manager/Director to deliver PR campaigns to plan
- Liaising with the client’s marketing/PR manager on a daily basis
- Drafting press releases, features pitches, press kits, background information sheets and briefing documents
- Writing contact, weekly & monthly progress reports
- Providing regular creative input and new ideas, and initiating ad hoc activities
- Carrying out desk research for existing clients
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with relevant trade and national media journalists
- Assist the Account Manager in arranging press briefings and other events
Platform Internship – Platform is currently offering a summer internship for someone to join the team to assist with our client accounts in the broadcast, media and telecommunications industries.
If you’re a recent graduate or someone who is serious about beginning a career in PR, and you’re a great team player, you could be just what we’re looking for. You will have excellent communication skills, possess a proactive nature, be organised, and competent with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Day to day activities will include:
